We know these three things about Faraz Jaka. First, he could survive in the wild with a can of tuna and easy access to an able bartender. Second, his name is exceptionally fun to sing to the tune of Frère Jacques. Third, his performance on Day 2 of the PCA earned him the chip lead and the jaw-dropping respect of everyone within eyeshot. At the start of the day, Jaka had 129,500 chips. By the end of the night, he was sitting on 902,500, the runaway chip leader and Day 2 hero.
Oh, also, his fashion sense is still just as good as it always has been.

Yesterday, the multi-tabling prodigy Randy Nanonoko Lew set a new world record for the most amount of poker hands played over an eight hour period.
On the sidelines of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, Lew sat down to play between 25 and 40 tables simultaneously, with the requirement he makes a profit, so as to discourage just pressing the fold button for the record.
Playing on PokerStars, Lew was up a few hundred dollars at one stage and down $1,200 at another, when he increased the stakes to $5/$10 to make up the shortfall. As he explains:

2010 WSOP Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel is a good friend of RakeTheRake, and he’s even downed a few drinks with the RakeTheRake girls. So when we heard about the horrific robbery and beating that Duhamel endured, RakeTheRake was shocked and concerned for him.
About a week ago, two men broke into the Canadian’s suburban Montreal home in the morning, and started attacking him. Eventually, they tied Duhamel up and kept hitting him until he told them where the valuables were. With this knowledge in hand, the robbers stole Duhamel’s 2010 Main Event gold bracelet, a Rolex Submariner watch that came from PokerStars, and some money.

M is for Martingale The Martingale system is a type of betting strategy that sees the gambler doubling his or her stake after each loss, in order to recover losses and bank a small overall profit. The origins of Martingale date back to 18th century France, supposedly involving betting on the flip of a coin.
These days, Martingale is more associated with roulette betting, usually on one of the fifty fifty decisions, such as Red / Black or Odd / Even.
