Hey. It’s coming up to 730am, I am down to my last 4 tables which means I actually get a chance to write something here. Thankfully just shipped a chop in the $50 KO for 2300. Always nice. My Norwegian opponent agreed to a chop heads up with a chip advantage of 750k to 350k. There wasn’t a monstrous discrepancy in prizes… 2nd was 2200, first was 2800 or so. The greatest part about this was that I was still playing g11 other tournaments and could barely focus on all of them without a heads up match too.

I have had a vast array of deep runs today and I believe it is a combination of run good and extreme nittiness. Not that kind that involves redbull, doritos and a kayak. But reverting back to the old ways of tight is right. My average stats today have been in the vicinity of 14 / 9 / 5 and they have been very successful. Maybe people don’t ‘use HUDs anymore. But even playing this tight, people would simply not believe me or wouldn’t care. I also played AK quite passively preflop with anymore than 15BB and played AQ very passively with all stack sizes > 10BB. I would reshove 20BB, get snapped called by A9o. Show my aces. Double up and move on.

I am also a luck box for two reasons in the tournament I shipped.

The first was raising AA in the SB to have the BB wake up with JJ and instashove 50BB. Thank you poker gods.

The second was shipping KQo with 5 people left to have the other two short stacks call with 88 and JJ. The flop 5k5. Thank you poker gods.
