A select few casinos have become the first to launch Microsofts debut into the 3D slot market by launching Sterling Silver 3D a 5 reel slot which is one of the first online games to incorporate Anaglyphic 3D technology.
While you can expect a full review from our slots team within the next couple of weeks, the initial signs look very good.
The Sterling Silver game is not new to casino players in fact, the original 2D version is one of Microgamings most popular slots but this latest 3D version marks the software providers first
Up until this point Rival had the monopoly on 3D slots, although their games generally consisted of well crafted vector images that provided the illusion of depth to their players.
Sterling Silver 3D takes things to another level though, as it gives players the opportunity to put on a pair of 3D glasses and experience slots action as they have never done be
So if youre the kind of slots player that is into their movies and already has a pair of 3D glasses at home, then its definitely worth checking out Sterling Silver if only to see why everyones so excited about where the online casino industry is going.
Microgaming hasnt gone as far as revealing plans
Next up is Playtech, who are believed to be planning on releasing their first 3D games over the next couple of months.
While Sterling Silver 3D will eventually find its way into all Microgaming casinos, there are only a few places to find it at the moment due to the fact that its so new.
However, Platinum Play has had the game up and running since 6th June and is a great place to see the 3D slot in all its glory. Whats more, if you dont currently have an account there, youll be able to take advantage of 1,500 free bets when you register.
